To our friends and advocates in the community:
LAR is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with the City of La Crescent to continue use of our current location at 523 N. Chestnut Street.
Furthermore, we are now able to build programs to start serving the other cities, townships, and municipalities within Houston County. These programs still need to be developed and we need to expand our volunteer base before we can truly expand our outreach. If you can help by volunteering at the shelter, assisting with fundraising, or connecting with other Houston County municipalities, please reach out.
Please join us in acknowledging the exhaustive efforts and dedication of the volunteers and supportive community members who helped bring us to success in this endeavor. We are looking forward to many more years of partnership with the City of La Crescent, service to the entire community, and most of all taking great care of our animals!

Established in 2005, La Crescent Animal Rescue (LAR) is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c) 3
organization dedicated to the protection and welfare of animals in La Crescent, Minnesota.
